Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog JUJU last weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.

Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.

James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of animal abuse websites a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.

Fox called Puppylux, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
